The very first time we had a litter of rats cross into our home, it was a complete surprise. Our rescue doe popped out 10 little jellybeans one night, and from there on out we were hooked on raising pets that were better socialized, bred, and trained than the ones who came before them. That rat (Penne) still lives in our home, and she and her daughter Linguini are still the sweetest, most intelligent rats we've ever had. She's what inspired us to keep educating ourselves and bettering our knowledge of rat health and husbandry so that we could one day keep producing quality pets for homes just like ours.

Long Tail Rattery is the result of meticulous work, education, and attention to detail. The owners of the rattery, Alex and Catherine, have pooled small business entrepreneurship experience with many years of both rat -specific and general animal husbandry to make our breeding and adoption process as smooth, healthy, and happy for all parties as possible.
